'Top Ten' deli provides shoot location
With the UK Government's focus on reducing the use of landfill, finding an alternative way of disposing of restaurant and food production waste has never been more important. Milton Keynes distributor Mechline has the answer in GohBio, a revolutionary new machine that 'digests' non-bony food waste .. leaving just harmless grey water.
Oxygen's broadcast-quality shoot, for Milton Keynes partner company Logicom, started in 'Top Ten' deli, Halseys, where proprietor Damien Caldwell prepared examples from every food group to illustrate how much food waste is an inevitable by-product of running a restaurant.
The Oxygen crew then moved to the Open University in Milton Keynes, where the first GohBio machine in the UK has been working successfully on trial for many months. Director and crew were all mightily impressed when they saw the watery output. And a peek inside the digester confirmed that there really was no other residue!
